Bulgaria's Health Ministry will have to pay BGN 100,000 to a woman, suffering from breast cancer, because it failed to provide her with the needed life-saving medication, the country's Court of Appeals ruled on Friday.

The woman, Teodora Zaharieva did not receive the medications the country grants to people with cancer in 2004 and the beginning of 2005.

In the same period a total of 4743 Bulgarian women heard the diagnosis "breast cancer".
