A Japanese non-governmental organization endowed children hospitals in Bulgaria with 112 wheel-chairs at a special ceremony on Friday.

The first wheel-chairs were donated to the specialised children's hospital in Bankya.

Health Minister Radoslav Gaydarski, Japan's Ambassador to Sofia Koichiro Fukui and the Bulgarian envoy to Japan Blagovest Sendov were among the official guests at the event.

The wheel-chairs will be distributed to medical centres all across the country.

The charity act has been organized with the assistance of Bulgaria's sumo competitor Kaloyan Mahliyanov - Kotooshu, who was also present at the ceremony.
