The last three dancing bears in Bulgaria were transported on Friday to the Bear re-adaptation park in Belitsa, Four Paws Foundation announced.

The foundation bough the three animals from their owners, who used them as an instrument of gaining money, making the bears dance and do tricks on the streets of the local villages and towns.

The owners Maria and Dimitar Stanev from the Getsovo village have been taking care of the bears since their birth. The bears, named Misho, 19, Svetla, 17, and Mima, 8, will add to the other 20 animals in the Belitsa Park.

On Saturday the newcomers will be welcomed by the park staff with a special bear party, which will be attended by the ex-actress Brigitte Bardot. The animal rights activist started the project for the Belitsa Bear Park and financed the construction and the maintenance.
