The Chairman of Open Society Institute George Soros is to arrive at an official visit to Bulgaria on June 10 to join a discussion on Roma integration.

The global financier and philanthropist will take part in the meeting of the International Committee in the framework of the Decade of the Roma Inclusion initiative.

The meeting aims at reporting on the progress connected to the Roma integration, marked by the nine countries that participate in the project since its launching in 2005.

While in Bulgaria, Soros will confer with representatives of state and non-governmental organizations as well as with people from the Roma minority.

George Soros has granted about USD 100 M to Bulgaria in the last 17 years to help the country's civil society and the democratisation process, the Open Society Institute reported.
