A rally, held under the motto "Let's not allow Bulgaria take part in world's military decisions", was staged in the capital city of Sofia on Saturday.

More than 150 demonstrators, including some Arabian and Palestinian nationals, who live in Bulgaria, joined the protest, organized by Bulgaria's National Peace Council.

The rally that has first gone in the central Vitosha Boulevard was leaded by protestors, bringing a poster, whose notice read "Say no to Bush and yes to the peace".

The demonstrators have already gathered in front of the National Theatre, where they will read a declaration insisting on the withdrawal of Bulgaria's troops in Iraq and closing the US bases in the country.

The document will be later sent to the President Georgi Parvanov and the Speaker of the Parliament Georgi Pirinski.

The protest came les than 24 hours before the US President George Bush arrival in Bulgaria.
