The start of the week marked the quite natural outcome of the dilemma concerning the preparation of Bulgaria's protected areas list. Quite logically Brussels' authorities did not approve it as it was previously carefully shortened by their Bulgarian counterparts.

It emerged that the European Commission' s objections concern namely the range of the territories included in the list on NATURA 2000 program, as it once was almost twice as large.
