European Commissioner in charge of enlargement Olli Rehn said on Friday that the he expected partnership talks with Serbia to be resumed later this month.
The precise date will be set after UN war crimes prosecutor Carla del Ponte returns from Belgrade, Rehn said after talks with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Serbian President Boris Tadic.
The negotiations for the Stabilisation and Accession Agreement, the first stop for prospective EU members, were frozen a year ago after Serbia failed to deliver Ratko Mladic, wanted by the Hague tribunal on charges of genocide.
But relations thawed this week after Serbia arrested Zdravko Tolimir, one of Mladic's top aides and delivered him to the Hague tribunal.
