The Sofia police have already started the preparations to provide maximum security for the two-day visit of the US President George Bush, starting on June 10.

For this reason, Sofia Mayor Boyko Borisov sent a letter to PM Sergey Stanishev, asking him to declare the Monday, June 11th a non-working day, as the whole downtown Sofia will be closed and the movement of vehicles and pedestrians will be curbed. The routes of many of the public transport lines will be temporarily closed for the day and this will heavily impede Sofia citizens to get to their working places.

It is still not know whether the Prime Minister will accept the proposal, but most of the Sofia citizens are already pondering on how to get to their offices if June 11 is a working day.
