Heavy Rainfalls Cause Leakage at Sofia Airport's Terminal 2

The roof of Sofia airport's Terminal 2 has leaked after the heavy rainfall in the past few days, the press centre of the Transport Ministry announced.

The roof of the covered parking lot is has also leaked. The company that built the two facilities was already informed.

Temporary interference of the signal in three of the units for air control occurred because of the thunderstorms. The communication connections were also harmed as one of the main cables is under water.

There is still no threat for flooding the flying grounds as the level of the Iskar River is still in the norm.
