Slight Quake Rattles Southwestern Bulgaria

A mild earthquake struck shortly after 4.00 pm on Tuesday in the region of the town of Blagoevgrad, Southwestern Bulgaria.

The tremour measured 2.8 on the Richter scale and was felt by the citizens of the municipalities of Blagoevgrad, Simitli and Kresna.

The epicentre of the quake was registered 85 kilometres southeast of the capital Sofia, on the territory of the country.

There were no immediate reports of damages or casualties.
