Diplomatic Source "Denied" Reports of Qaddafi's Stroke

A diplomatic source from Tripoli has denied reports that Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi has been rushed to hospital after suffering a stroke and is in coma, Bulgarian Darik radio reported.

Israeli media broke the news earlier on Monday, quoting a report by Palestinian agency Ma'an.

"The condition of the Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi is very serious and he was brought unconscious to the hospital," Jerusalem Post reported on its website.

Qaddafi's children, who reside in Europe, were recalled to his bedside in Tripoli, according to the same report.

The report cited a European source and has not been confirmed yet.
