Bulgaria's pensioners have set up their own party called Social Solidarity Movement.

Sasho Radev, who founded the first movement for protection of pensioner's rights, chairs the party along with Traycho Stoykov.

More than 540 people attended the party's creation in Haskovo and elected a National council totalling79 members. The party will only tackle one serious problem the low pensions, organizers said.

This party will be the pensioners' main weapon in their struggle for higher pensions.
