Slight Quake Rattles Central Bulgaria

A mild earthquake struck shortly before 3.00 pm on Thursday in the region of the town of Chirpan, Central Bulgaria.

The tremour measured 2.2 on the Richter scale and was felt by the citizens of the town.

The epicentre of the quake was registered 170 kilometres southeast of the capital Sofia, on the territory of the country.

There were no immediate reports of damages or casualties.
