Bulgaria's Telecom BTC awarded Thursday the children who participated in the road safety competition with special prizes, which is part of the initiative "I am Saving a Life".

The winners received helmets, knee and elbow pads, roller blades, football balls, t-shirts, road-safety-teaching books, and many other prizes.

The awards were given personally by BTC's spokesperson Dimitar Tsonev. The event took place in front of Sofia's National Palace of culture.

At the end of the day Transport Minister Petar Mutafchiev, whose ministry organized the holiday, greeted the children, their parents and teachers, who came at the event, which is also in line with the Global week of road safety.

Dozens of children came to take part and all were given the chance to test their skills at many road-safety-oriented games.

A balloon with the initiative's logo was sent in the sky above the Palace, while the five schools that have been most active in all initiatives of the global week were prized with bicycles.
