German Court Sentences Man for Trafficking Two Bulgarians

A German court sentenced a 45-year-old man to two years in prison, with a suspended sentence, for trafficking two Bulgarian sisters and forcing them to prostitute themselves, Darik News reported.

The man, whose nationality is not specified, together with an accomplice have trafficked the two sisters, then aged 23 and 18, in November 2001.

He told the court the accomplice, who is still wanted by the police, was the one who masterminded and carried out the action.
