Maria Shishkova, Managing Partner of AIMS Human Capital in Bulgaria and Macedonia, was elected Chairman of the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum (BBLF).

Shishkova will take over from Maxim Behar, CEO of M3 Communications Group, Inc. after he served his second and last term at the helm of the organization. In recognition for his contribution to the development of one of the most influential business communities in the country, Maxim Behar was conferred the title of a lifetime honorary member.

More than 100 representatives of the business and the media attended BBLF general annual meeting, whose official guests were Economy and Energy Minister Rumen Ovcharov and H.E. Jeremy Hill, Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Bulgaria.

Maxim Behar handed to Minister Ovcharov a copy of BBLF's Business Ethics Standard, which has been adopted by 1,500 companies already.

"There are many positive trends in Bulgaria's economy. The challenge that we face is to make them constant and stable, which requires the close cooperation of the government with the business community," Minister Ovcharov said in his address to the participants in the meeting.

Ambassador Hill congratulated Maxim Behar for his extraordinary contribution to BBLF development over the last six years and turning it into the leading organization for responsible and ethical business.

Mario al-Jebouri, partner in Forem Consulting was elected BBLF Deputy Chair, while Gilbert McCall, Managing Partner of KPMG Bulgaria was elected Board Controller.

BBLF has over 180 members, mainly major Bulgarian and international companies. It is associated with The International Business Leaders Forum of The Prince of Wales.
