Representatives of all political forces in the European Parliament are to take part in the representation ceremony of a new initiative in support of the five Bulgarian nurses on death row in Libya.

The campaign, which will be going under the motto "Bring Them Back Home", has been launched by the non-governmental organization "European Movement", whose leader is the former President of the EP Pat Cox.

Cox called for a full public and political mobilization in Europe in the name of the cause.

"I strongly believe that we all owe the medics solidarity and serious public support, especially after they became European citizens since January 1," Cox said.

Relatives of the five Bulgarian nurses, sentenced to death in Libya, arrived in Brussels on Wednesday to join the initiative's opening.
