Ex-CSKA Goalie Attacked Over Poor Results in Croatia

Sports | April 17, 2007, Tuesday // 00:00

Dragan Jilic, former goalkeeper of Bulgaria's CSKA, has been attacked in Croatia late Monday night.

Jilic, who currently plays alongside Levski's fading star Georgi Ivanov - Gonzo in Rjieka, was attacked by three unknown men. Police believe the goalkeeper was beaten up because of Rijeka's poor performances on the pitch lately.

Recently Rijeka fans have been openly hostile towards the team's players and this is not the first such attack.
