The rescue services put to an end the inquiry of the Bulgarian sailor, who was declared missing on Sunday.

The case was investigated by the Ukrainian authorities and their Bulgarian counterparts but unfortunately all the efforts remained fruitless.

The disappearance of the second mate of Bulgarian ship Milin Kamak, Ventsislav Ivanov, 40, was noticed on Saturday when the ship was due to enter the port of Feodosia in southern Ukraine.

The ship is owned by Balgarski Morski Flot and sails under the Bulgarian flag.
