The luxurious BMW X5 of the UK football star David Beckham, which was stolen from the underground parking of his house in Madrid, is already property of the Macedonian government.

Macedonian media published photos, which showed the Macedonia's Interior Minister Gordana Jankulovska, getting in a car, considered to be Beckham's stolen one.

"Before reaching our country, the vehicle has been painted more than 20 times in Spain. So we do not have evidence it was Beckham's property," the Macedonian police spokesman explained.

The thieves are regarded to be real "professionals" as they used high tech software to
steal the BMW that has the modest price of GBP 70,000.

Reports show the car was first transported to Greece by a ship and later it was found in Macedonia.

"If Beckham wants the BMW, I will personally give him the keys," Minister Jankulovska assured.
