French, Afghan Aid Workers Captured by the Taliban

The Taliban announced today that they have captured two French and two Afghan aid workers.

Rebel spokesman Qari Mohammad Yusuf said the four were abducted yesterday in Nimroz province, as they were going out of work in Terre d'Enfance NGO.

French foreign ministry spokesman Denis Simonneau said the two French nationals had been reported missing along with three Afghan guides.

Terre d'Enfance focuses on education and other projects for children in the Nimroz province.
