Relatives, friends and colleagues of late Boris Dimovski, one of the greatest contemporary Bulgarian artists and a world-famous cartoonist, bowed heads in his memory on March 29.

Boris Dimovski passed away on Monday aged 81.

Dimovski was born on October 20, 1925, in the village of Yavrovo, Assenovgrad area.

The cartoonist, often dubbed the funniest Bulgarian dissident, was also a much respected master of water-colour paintings, oil paintings, impressions and graphics.

Boris Dimovski served as an MP in the 7th Great National Assembly.
