Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso is confident of appearing in a second Champions League final in three years, the Liverpool Daily Post reported on Tuesday.
The Reds will face Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven in the first match of their quarterfinal tie next week.
"We have played the qualifying round against them. We played in Eindhoven and drew, and at Anfield we won," the Basque playmaker said.
"We're in a good position and we are really confident. Of course there is still a long way to go, but we are confident we can reach the final," he added.
Should Liverpool dispatch PSV, they will meet either Valencia or domestic rivals Chelsea in the semifinal of the competition.
Liverpool won their fifth European Cup in 2005 in Istanbul, staging arguably the most dramatic comeback in an European game to win against AC Milan despite going three goals down by half-time.
