Bulgaria: Bulgaria Commemorates Top Athlete's World Record

Bulgaria's top athlete Stefka Kostadinova was awarded Monday a golden commemorative medal on the occasion of the 20th anniversary since she set up her high jump world record.

The Chairman of the Track-and-Field Federation Dobri Karamarinov bestowed also a special certificate on Kostadinova, who is at present a Chairwoman of Bulgaria's Olympic Committee.

Stefka Kostadinova signed on a lath, which had the significant for her height of 209 centimetres.

"I am not the only one champion Bulgaria has to be proud of. There are many others, who deserves to be on the top," said Kostadinova excitedly.

The rewarding ceremony took place in Press club "Bulgaria" in the capital city of Sofia.
