Two people were confirmed dead and more than 20 injured by Cyclone George in western Australia, which could soon be hit by Cyclone Jacob, the Sydney Morning Herald reported on Friday.
Most of the victims came from three isolated mining camps, which still cannot be reached by rescuers because of the strong winds.
A third person is feared dead, but Australia's Fire and Emergency Services Authority (FESA) could not confirm the report, the daily said.
Jacob still blows at category two, but changed direction towards the Pilbara region, where category four cyclone George hit land. It is expected to reach land on Sunday or Monday.
