Bulgaria's Prime Minister Sergey Stanishev conferred with the biggest hospitals' directors in Sofia on Wednesday.

The Health Minister Radoslav Gaydarski has also joined the meeting.

"Bulgaria is not ready to introduce the extra payment for health services as the clinical paths' real values have not been estimated yet," Minister Gaydarski said.

He added that the hospitals' directors insisted on taking part in the National Framework Contract's negotiations as equal partners.

The meeting was held because of the crisis in Bulgaria's healthcare system, which has triggered continuing waves of discontent among the health officials all around the country.
