Crime | February 27, 2007, Tuesday // 00:00

Sofia Appeal Court decided to release from arrest three of the suspected Bulgarians, accused of draining money from SAPARD program on Tuesday.

The only one, who is not going to be released, is Mario Nikolov, as the court claims there is strong enough evidence against him.

His wife Mariana Nikolova has been imposed a BGN 5,000 bail. The court decided that her involvement in the crime scheme could not be proved. Except, she has to look after her little child.

Lyudmil Stoykov, who was appointed the master-mind of the laundering operation by the prosecutors, was unconditionally freed as well as the fourth suspect Ivan Ivanov.

The four defendants, who were accused of money laundering, participation in an organized crime group and documentation frauds, were arrested two weeks ago.
