Mobster Brother on Trial Hospitalized in Sofia Jail

Crime | February 16, 2007, Friday // 00:00

Nikolay Marinov, the younger of two alleged underworld kingpin brothers dubbed the Marguins, has been admitted to the hospital ward of the sofia jail where he is detained for the time of his trial.

Marinov suffered a hypertonic crisis, Darik News reported.

His older brother, Krassimir, has already been released on house arrest because his health severely deteriorated while in custody. He underwent a discal hernia surgery on February 7.

The younger Marinov had already reported to the hospital ward once less than a month ago, because his health seems to be frailing like his brother's.

The two brothers and several suspected accomplices are accused of plotting the murder of businessman Nikola Damyanov, reserve general Lyuben Gotsev and alleged underworld boss Ivan Todorov nicknamed Doktora.
