Bulgaria will demand the reopening of the two closed nuke-units of its single nuclear power plant, the energy minister announced.

"We will take this step as clause 36 of the agreement, concluded with the EU, allows us to do so," Minister Rumen Ovcharov added.

The country will not insist on reconsidering the whole agreement, by which NPP Kozloduy's units 3 and 4 were closed.

Ovcharov participated in a meeting of all EU energy ministers in Brussels, where all his arguments were closely followed.

Meanwhile, Bulatom, the Bulgarian Atomic Forum, held a round table together with several Sofia high schools on the topic "The future of Bulgarian nuclear energy and the young people's attitude".

The meeting aimed at giving a chance to youngsters to exchange their views for the development of this field of economics with experts from the sector and making them familiar with its perspectives.

At the end of the discussions, the students adopted a declaration in support of Bulgaria's two nuke units.
