The management of Bulgaria's National Archaeological Museum (NAM) gave a press conference on the low payment of the country's archaeologists on Monday.

The conference was under the motto "Underpaid Bulgarian archaeologists enrich the state treasury".

Archaeologists met with the media in connection with the scientific community for a 50% rise of their salaries.

The director of NAM, Vassil Nikolov, NAM's vice director Dochka Aladzhova, Georgi Kitov and professor Nikolay Ovcharov took part in the conference.
