Bulgarian Nationalist Hangs Anti-Turks Poster in Parliament

Bulgarian nationalist leader Krassimir Karakachanov has placed an anti-Turks sign in Parliament, Darik News reported.

The poster which states "No to Turkish votes," has been placed in protest of the fact that Bulgarian expats in Turkey will be allowed to vote in the elections for Bulgarian representatives in the European Parliament.

VMRO's leader Karakachanov said that he knew the poster was against the rules, but still, 50,000 such posters and leaflets will be distributed throughout Bulgaria.

The point of the poster was to make left-wing MPs think twice before coting the law for electing MEPs on Thursday or Friday. Most of the socialists support VMRO's opinion on the matter, but their party's position is that all Bulgarian citizens should have the right to vote.
