Bulgaria, Macedonia, Albania Ok Trans-Balkan Oil Pipeline

Bulgaria's regional development minister and his Macedonian and Albanian counterparts will sign a convention on the trans Balkan oil pipeline AMBO.

Bulgaria's Assen Gagauzov, Macedonia's Vera Rafajlovska, Albania's Genc Ruli and the president of the investor - the US company AMBO will put their signs under the document.

This is the beginning of the project's realization for the construction of an oil pipeline from Bulgaria's seaside city Burgas and Albania's city Vlora. The pipeline will transport the Caspian oil to West Europe and the US.

The pipeline will be 912 kilometres and the year oil transit through it is estimated to reach 35 million tons.
