A mild earthquake struck a minute after 8.00 am on Sunday morning in south-western Bulgaria.

The tremour measured 2.7 on the Richter scale and was not felt by the citizens in these parts of the country.

The epicentre of the quake was registered near the village of Kovachevitsa, a unique architectural and historical reserve, located northeast of the town of Gotse Delchev.

There were no immediate reports of damages.
