Romanian Hacks Bulgaria's State Lotto Site

Crime | January 5, 2007, Friday // 00:00

A Romanian hacker attacked Thursday night the Internet site of the Bulgarian State Lotto, official reported.

The hacker left a mark on the site by putting a picture of himself on the index page and changing its contents with a message. He also cut the access to all the other sub-sites.

The boy, visibly around 17 years of age named himself Tufo-X. He had changed only the text contents of the site, without harming the data base. It is supposed he assaulted the site Thursday night, after the lucky numbers from the weekly lotto have been drawn. The site administrator said Tufo-X has not changed the drawn numbers and has not done any damage that would make him get any gains from the hacking.

The site of the State Lottery was shut down for couple of hours on Friday morning while specialists clear the damages.
