UK expats have joined in producing their first newspaper in Bulgaria - "Bulgarian Times".

Editor Joan Milne already has the first issue out in the southern city of Yambol , private bTV channel reported.

Milne explains that she loved Bulgaria and wanted more reasons to stay in the country. She saw a market niche and put together the first expat newspaper.

We will focus on local news, history and folklore, because this is what foreigners are interested in, Milne says. There will also be pieces on where to buy this or that, she adds.

The first issue focuses on the ordeal of the five Bulgarian nurses jailed in Libya on accusations of infecting hundreds of children with HIV. Milne is already mulling a Christmas issue, while people in the Yambol region are proud to live in the birthplace of the paper.
