7,000 Pirate CDs Busted in Downtown Sofia

Crime | November 18, 2006, Saturday // 00:00

A total of 7,000 CDs have been confiscated from a stall at the Sofia Slaveykov square during a special police operation.

Sofia's Economy police and the non-governmental organization BULAKT carried out the sudden check at the stall. The officers found only covers for the CDs. After a check the selling scheme was discovered: after receiving an order by a client one of the two sellers disappeared and returned later at the same place carrying the discs.

A 30-year-old seller was caught red-handed and arrested by the police.
