Election Commission Member Went to Polling Station Armed

Despite the fact that election commission members are supposed to make sure no one goes to vote armed or intoxicated, one of their own reported to the polling station she was supposed to work armed.

A woman, who was assigned to Sofia's school number 20, came to the station with a gas pistol in her handbag, Darik News reported.

Other commission members noted the weapon and made their colleague turn it over to the police.

She explained that she was carrying the gun for self-defense.
