6-Time Felon Arrested for Pimping Orphans in Bulgaria
Crime | October 23, 2006, MondayThe minors from the "Lyuba Teneva" home in Bulgaria's Berkovitsa were not forced to sell their bodies, reports said, they did it willingly for the cash. For each "session" with clients, the arrested Anguel Lyubenov gave them between BGN 8 and BGN 10 and pocketed the rest himself.
Lyubenov was caught after a mother alerted the police that her daughter was locked against her will in an apartment. When they got there, policemen discovered the 12-year-old and a boy of 15, whom Lyubenov locked up in his own apartment.
Further investigations showed that the kids were willing accomplices in the scheme.
