Rightist Nedelcho Beronov, who failed to reach the presidential run-off, performed better among the Bulgarian voters abroad, ranking second.
The former chair of the Constitutional Court, who ran together with Yuliana Nikolova, garnered 7.2% of the Bulgarians' votes abroad against 6,4% for the nationalist Volen Siderov.
Bulgarian incumbent President Georgi Parvanov topped the polls in Bulgaria as well as abroad, where he garnered the whopping 84.1%.
Beronov's poor results, widely seen as the last mass for the rightist parties behind him, forced him out of the second round of the elections.
