100% Voter Turnout Registered in Bulgarian Prison, 2 Villages

Politics | October 22, 2006, Sunday // 00:00

All inmates in the prison in Bulgaria's northern city of Belene have already cast their vote, Darik News reported.

The voter turnout in two Bulgarian villages is also 100%, BNT reported.

The 30 people living in the village of Kokorkovo all lined up in the wee hours of the morning, eager to cast their vote. The same was the case with the village of Vrakupovitsa, where 27 people cast their vote and locals boasted that there hadn't been a single case when their village didn't bank 100% turnout at elections.

Polling stations in all these places will stay open until the end of the election day, however.
