Four of Bulgaria's world-famous gold treasures dating back to Thracian times are already turning into a sensation in Paris, hours after they were displayed at the Jacquemart-Andre Museum.

Bulgaria's Prime Minister Sergey Stanishev inaugurated late on Friday the exhibition, which features more than 100 pieces of gold artefacts from the Rogozen, Panagyurishte, Borovo and Letnitsa treasures and reveal the high mastership of ancient Thracian arts.

After Paris, where it will stay until January 31, the treasures will leave for Basel, Switzerland and Japan.

The exhibition reveals the virtuosity of ancient goldsmiths, who have reached the pinnacle of arts. The artefacts - witnesses to a particularly brilliant civilization - impress with their decorative richness, the Jacquemart-Andre Museum said in a statement on its website.
