A high-profile member of Bulgaria's largest nationalist party was left behind bars on charges of paedophilia.
Nikolay Yankov, 51, was arrested in the Danube town of Russe a week ago after a complaint was lodged in the local court. The man, known as the right-hand of the party's local branch head, is accused of having repeatedly sexually abused the daughter of the woman, he cohabitates with.
Yankov became the second member of the Ataka (Attack) party against whom charges of paedophilia have been brought. Last week charges of paedophilia were officially raised against Vladimir Kuzov, months after nationalist party Ataka expelled the lawmaker.
