A bright blue crab of the largest and most beautiful kind found in the Black Sea has crept to a fishing net in Bulgaria, media said Thursday.

The arthropod, which belongs to an extremely rare species, was caught in the Burgas Bay.

That was only the second time for such specimen to come out at the site.

Callinectes sapidus, as is the name of the species, originate from the US East Coast.

After about 40 years of life in the Black Sea, low winter temperatures still make it hard for the blue crab to reproduce.
