Bulgarian civil group protested Friday in front of the Parliament in support of their request for the protection of several wild beaches at the Black Sea coast.
The group, called "Da spasim Irakli" ("Let's Save Irakli"), opposes to the unrestricted construction works on the beaches.
The environmental activists focus their attention more specifically on the protected area of Irakli, located in the northern part of the Black Sea coast.
Wearing bathing suits, its members used their towels to make a "beach" in front of Parliament.
The protestors submitted to the parliamentary speaker a list of 13,000 signatures of people, who back their initiative.
The organization insisted that the government cancel the contract with the current concessionaire, who has not collected, nor transported the garbage over the last five years.
More than 21,000 people in Bulgaria back the initiative, the group announced.
