With an impressive blue-and-white ceremony Bulgarian Navy Forces sent off its last conscription graduates in Varna.

The seamen of 87th conscription swore in under the military flags in front of the eyes of huge crowd of spectators who gathered at the city's Cathedral for the ceremony.

The ceremony on Saturday was attended by Defense Minister Vesselin Bliznakov, Chief of Army Staff Zlatan Stoykov, Varna Mayor Kiril Yordanov, MPs, foreign military attaches, as well as many guests.

Bulgaria has decided to scrap its conscription troops as of 2007, thus making way to the entry of professional soldiers to the Bulgarian Armed Forces.
