Bulgarian Envoy to Tehran "Backs" Iran Nuclear Program

Bulgarian ambassador to Iran Plamen Shukurliev has declared support for Iranian peaceful nuclear program, according to Iranian media.

"Iran has a right to develop its own peaceful nuclear program," Shukurliev stated in an interview for the Iranian Fars News Agency.

He also considers diplomacy the only way to deal with the crisis over Iran's nuclear program, the report says.

Iran has at its disposal a number of experienced politicians who are able to cope with the current difficult situation, the Bulgarian envoy has added.

Shukurliev has also stressed on the importance of Iran-Bulgaria political ties.

The bilateral relations should be used as a basis to build fruitful economic cooperation, the ambassador has concluded.
