Lebanon is observing a national day of mourning for the 52 victims of an Israeli bombardment on the southern village of Qana. Banks and public offices are closed and flags are flying at half-mast to commemorate the memory of the victims. More than 30 children died in the attack on Qana on Sunday, the deadliest Israeli raid since its undeclared war with Lebanon started on 12 July.
