Israel has enhanced its offensive on Lebanon with air raids on Beirut's southern suburbs, known as a stronghold of Hezbollah militants. Jets also targeted a power plant, the road to the airport and the highway from Beirut to the Syrian capital, Damascus, Lebanese officials said, as quoted by the BBC. Three civilians were killed and at least 50 wounded in Israel's overnight strikes. Israel enforced Thursday a complete blockade on Lebanon as part of its offensive against Hizbollah guerrillas, which captured two soldiers in a border clash. The offensive, the biggest raid in Lebanon since Israel's 1982 invasion, has left so far more than 50 dead.
