IT giants Microsoft and Google are interested in opening centres in Bulgaria, US Ambassador John Beyrle said.

Beyrle handed a letter to Bulgaria's President Georgi Parvanov from his US counterpart George Bush. Reforms in Bulgaria are creating a favourable climate for investments, Bush writes, and it would help both countries establish tighter economic relationships with each other.

Google's Vice President, Vinton Cerf will arrive July 3 in Sofia to head a US delegation of numerous IT ventures' representatives.

During a two-day stay they will discuss prospective joint projects for fast-speed development of the IT society in Bulgaria.
