Study: Men Make Women Fat

Society | April 6, 2006, Thursday // 00:00

Women tend to gain weight after moving in with a boyfriend, a study suggest.

According to UK dieticians, co-habiting with men changes women's nutrition habits, adding more fat and sugar to their diet.

But sharing the home is not the least harmful to gentlemen's health, the same study found out.

On the contrary, men find themselves eating lighter, healthier
meals.

Experts at the Newcastle University said diets change because each partner tries to please the other.

"As with everything in a good relationship, the best way is to reach a compromise where both partners stand to make a gain in improving their health," nutrition pro Frankie Phillips advised as cited by the BBC.
